从丛,火博网站(中国)有限公司官网英语系教授,主要研究与教学领域为莎士比亚、英美戏剧及比较文学,尤注重西方悲剧文化中的人文主义资源在我国社会文化发展中的现实作用研究。从1980年代末开始,围绕“哈姆莱特并非人文主义者”等论题,发表系列论文,在莎学界有广泛影响。近年着力推动莎士比亚空间转向研究,并创办“友邻杯莎士比亚(中国)学生戏剧节”。多年从事国际学术交流英语教学与研究,于1990年代中期在国内首创博士生学术交流英语教学体系,并倡导在英语教学中改变“中国文化失语”状况,对国内多层次外语教学相关研究与改革起到了引领与推动作用。曾任南京大学国际合作与交流处处长、南京大学人文社会科学高级研究院副院长。现任南京大学中美文化研究中心主任,南京大学-约翰斯•霍普金斯大学中美文化研究中心中方主任,南京大学-伯明翰大学-凤凰出版集团“莎士比亚(中国)中心”联席主任。
Cong Cong, professor of the English Department of the School of Foreign Studies, Nanjing University. Her main areas of research are Shakespearean studies and cross-cultural communication studies, with a special focus on Shakespeare’s tragedy and humanism. Her recent interests are the “spatial turn” and source study of Shakespeare. She also taught English for academic purposes for non-English major doctoral students at Nanjing University over 20 years, from which more than ten thousand doctoral students in various fields have benefited. She is a member of the International Shakespeare Association and Council Member of the Chinese Shakespeare Society. She served as the Deputy Dean of the Institute of Advanced Studies in Humanities and Social Sciences (IAS) of Nanjing University from 2012 to 2020, making innovative contributions to interdisciplinary academic research and talent cultivation at Nanjing University. She has been co-directing The Johns Hopkins University-Nanjing University Center for Chinese and American Studies since October 2020. She is also the Co-Director of the Nanjing-Birmingham-Phoenix Shakespeare Centre, China.
